WELCOME TO THE EAGLE LAKE FISHING GALLERY

Our GALLERY is our top bookmarked page on our website(s). It is also the only photo gallery available any where that includes every season all year long at Eagle Lake Ca. Since we live in Spalding at the northwest shore of Eagle Lake’s middle basin, we have the opportunity to be here to take photographs and share our adventures so our viewers can keep up with our wonderful Eagle Lake. Many of our visitors are not able to come up between January 1 and opening weekend but they still wish they could. Our aim is to bring you here any day of the week and any time of the year. Consider us your “Virtual Eagle Lake”. Our photos and pages are copyright protected & fully registered with the Library of Congress. We are not affiliated with any agency and we are not a tourism website. We have no financial gain in what we do.

  • 2013 All Eagle Lake All the Time

Every year I begin a new Eagle Lake photo album and update photos weekly or often several times a week. It depends on my accesses as to where I can get to but no matter what, I try to keep the album updated as often as I can. Often it becomes a time lapse of the lake over winter. This allows our viewers a chance to actually see what is going on at Eagle Lake over the winter, spring and into the spawn of our trout. Winter determines everything about the following fishing season. In 2012, Eagle Lake was at a low elevation dating back 70+ years (around 5094.29ft) and a solid 3 ft lower than the last historic low elevation in 1992 of 5097ft. December rains and snowfall helped. Rains brought the lake up 4” and 28” of snow fell adding about 1-2” more. Once we ice out I will be able to accurately measure the elevations and will update pages accordingly. We have gotten some moisture but not enough to save season long launching in Spalding just yet. We need a whole lot more & this is the place where you can keep track of everything that has anything to do with Eagle Lake. 12-1-13: Now that summer is over and the coldest month of the fishing season is here, I will upload more December photos but will start a new album in January so you can see what winter brings. I’m always available via phone (sometimes glitch in winter) email or text for any questions you have.
