WELCOME TO THE EAGLE LAKE FISHING GALLERY
Our GALLERY is our top bookmarked page on our website(s). It is also the only photo gallery available any where that includes every season all year long at Eagle Lake Ca. Since we live in Spalding at the northwest shore of Eagle Lake’s middle basin, we have the opportunity to be here to take photographs and share our adventures so our viewers can keep up with our wonderful Eagle Lake. Many of our visitors are not able to come up between January 1 and opening weekend but they still wish they could. Our aim is to bring you here any day of the week and any time of the year. Consider us your “Virtual Eagle Lake”. Our photos and pages are copyright protected & fully registered with the Library of Congress. We are not affiliated with any agency and we are not a tourism website. We have no financial gain in what we do.
I started this album on April 19th to show comparisons of the low water ramp between 2015 and 2016. As Stones Landing and Spalding remain unusable, only the low water ramp serving the campgrounds and marina is available to use. The single lane ramp (single for large vehicles & boats) can get very busy on holidays and weekends since having to serve the entire lake population. Having boats wanting to come in out of the wind while other boats are trying to get on the water is where the longest wait times can be. It is all we have. 2016 El Nino didn't save Eagle Lake but we did get a wee bit higher than last May. However we are still around 14ft lower than our prime elevation. We will squeak through the season and pray for more water in the future. Spring and summer thunderstorms in 2015 bought back a few weeks of evaporation which allowed us to launch through Oct. November was tough. We should be a little better off towards the late season fishing for 2016 and should get through the entire season.
